For hotspots, events and routes
Put your story on the map
Souvenirs is a mobile app where visitors follow your route and discover and collect your digital souvenirs.
“By combining banners, gamification and digital storytelling, Souvenirs gave new life to memories that risked fading into the background.”
Stephanie Rozema · Board member, Airborne March
Your story in their collection, forever
Your place has a story. Souvenirs gives that story a form people love: beautiful collectibles.
And when that story is on the map, you're not forcing it on passers-by. It becomes the destination.
What you get
A digital experience of what you already have
Your content is already there. So your route or story goes live straight away, on a map countless collectors already use.
- No manual checkpoints to staff: walkers claim their own, on the spot
- A mobile experience for during the visit, not after it
- Your stories unlocked at the places they happened
- Medals and badges visitors earn along the way
- Memories they share with the people who weren't there
Why Souvenirs
The 5 advantages of a digital experience
Every one of these is something operators tell us they were missing, and every one is measurable.
Unlimited storytelling
Tell your stories where they happened
- No limit on how much you tell, or where you tell it
- Add your own stories and routes, as many as you have
- Multiple languages, without four plaques on one wall
- Visitors start from a QR code or a link, on any smartphone
- A correction goes live the same day, not at the printer's convenience

Gamify your experience
Turn a walk into something they finish
- Collecting gives a reason to finish the whole route, not the first half
- An incomplete collection brings them back next edition
- Leaderboards and badges keep people going along the way
- It works on families: bored children start hunting the next coin
- The claim is the checkpoint, so no stamp box in a field and no cards to count

Built-in sharing
Reach you do not have to buy
- The shareable moment is built in, not bolted on afterwards
- The memory lands on their map as a polaroid, made to be posted
- A visitor saying it is worth more than your own advert saying it
- Every post is proof your route exists, all year round

Future-proof your story
Reach the next generation
- The visitors who grew up with a phone expect to find your story on one
- Exactly the group a leaflet no longer reaches, reached where they already are
- No new print run when a detail changes, no pallet of maps left over
- What you publish once keeps working next season

Measure every step
See how visitors actually move
- Every claim is a timestamp at a place, so you get dwell time per point
- See where crowds thin out, or where they jam
- No sensitive personal data needed, analytics on anonymised data
- Meets the strictest EU privacy rules
- Enough to argue a budget with

Put your story on the map
Tell us your story, and we'll make sure the world can find it and collect it.
“We didn't want the stories of our liberation buried by time, or drowned out by the festivities. Souvenirs adds a digital dimension through which we can pass on this unseen heritage.”
Amelieke Brinkhoff · Board member, Airborne MarchCommon questions
What do you need from us?
Your story and a bit of your time: an interview, your input on the design, and a place for the poster. We do the rest.
How long until we're live?
Within a week, whether that is a single coin or a route of twenty. The interview and your sign-off on the design are the only parts that need your time; the coin, the poster and the placement on the map are ours.
How is the poster mounted?
On dibond, hung with heavy-duty double-sided tape. No drilling, which matters on a listed building or in a protected area. Dibond is an aluminium composite panel: rigid, weatherproof, hard to vandalise, and the print holds its colour in full sun. It also looks like a made object rather than a laminated sheet, and it stays cheap enough to simply swap when your route changes.
Does this work for events as well as fixed locations?
Both. Hotspots get a permanent souvenir on the map; events get a collection along a route, the Airborne March ran 20 souvenirs across 4 routes for one weekend.
Can we run it in more than one language?
Yes: English, German and Dutch, so most visitors read the story in a language they know, without four plaques on one wall.
Our route changes every edition. Is that a problem?
No. You add your own stories and routes, and a correction goes live the same day instead of waiting on a printer.
Do we need to staff the route?
No. Claiming a souvenir is the checkpoint, so nobody stands in a field with a stamp box and there are no cards to hand out, collect or count.
How do we know it's working?
A dashboard login comes with the city or region package. It shows visits, claims and shares per point, how long people stayed and where they dropped off, on anonymised data you can look at whenever you like. On a smaller package, ask us.
What about privacy?
No sensitive personal data is needed, the analytics run on anonymised data, and it meets the strictest EU privacy rules.
Do visitors need to install the app?
Yes. The QR code or link sends them to the app store, and your route is waiting for them the moment the app opens.
Can we include our sponsors?
Yes, where it fits your story. A sponsor gets a place in the design rather than a logo pasted across it, so the souvenir still reads as yours and not as an advert.
Who owns the souvenir and the stories?
You do. The coin, the artwork and the written stories are yours. Ask us to delete them and they come off the map, with no exit clause to negotiate first.
What happens at the end of the year?
It renews automatically, and you can cancel whenever you like: no minimum term and no notice period. The yearly fee keeps running rather than locking you in.
